Celebrating Success: Highlights from the 2023/2024 AISB Graduation Ceremony

Updated: Jun 15

The annual graduation ceremony for the 2023/2024 academic year was a memorable and heartwarming event, celebrating our students' achievements and milestones.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome address by Mr. Andre du Toit, the Deputy Head of Secondary, setting the tone for a day of celebration and reflection.

Following the welcome address, the primary choir, directed by Mr. Tom, our primary music teacher, delivered a delightful performance of "Memories" that impressed the audience.

Lower Years Director's Award Presentation

First, there was a director's award presentation, given by Mr. Brenton Hall, the School Director, and Mr. Michael Bryce, the Secondary School Head, recognising the students' hard work and academic excellence.

The audience and graduates then enjoyed an outstanding performance by the IGCSE band, showcasing our students' diverse talents. This was organised by our Secondary Music teacher, Mr. Boon, who also joined the students during the performance.

Next, Mr. Brenton Hall delivered an inspiring speech offering invaluable advice to the graduates. He began humorously, emphasizing the importance of learning basic house work, and then highlighted the importance of living with integrity, making a difference, and staying in touch with their parents.

Mr. Michael Bryce, the Head of Secondary, also delivered a heartfelt message to the graduates.

In his address, Mr. Michael encapsulated the essence of the day with these inspiring words:

"Now you have graduated, remember this: Everything's always ending. But everything's always beginning, too. There is no passion to be found in playing small, in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living. You are always welcome at AISB. Congratulations on what you have achieved and will achieve in the future. Think big. Act big."

Danila, the Student Council Captain, gave an emotional farewell speech to the graduates, recalling their shared memories at AISB. Her words, full of gratitude and nostalgia, touched many in the audience.

Mr. Thomas Lane, the Year 12 Kalbarri teacher, gave a speech to the graduates, sharing memorable moments and lessons from their time at AISB. His words added a personal touch to the ceremony, highlighting the impact of their education.

Awarding of Certificates

Prithvi, the graduate representative, delivered the final graduation speech, encapsulating the collective feelings of his peers. His words were a fitting tribute to their shared experiences and aspirations for the future.

The event concluded with closing remarks from Mr. Andre, bringing the ceremony full circle and marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another for the graduates.

In this graduation ceremony, we celebrate you, Prithvi, Esther, and Taiga, marking a significant milestone in your lives.

As you reflect on your time at AISB, we hope you treasure the memories you've made here. We wish you all the best as you begin this exciting new phase of your journey.

Congratulations to the Class of 2024!
